Sara Conover McKinnis is an Oklahoma native who has melded her passions for story-telling, history, and spirituality into meaningful works for kids and caring adults of all ages. Sara has penned spiritual, patriotic, and community-centric pieces in an effort to enrich the life and key understandings for her own children as well children and their families of every community. She is a published author who also shares her expertise in safe environments planning with parents and organizations that serve children.
Sara is an honors alumna of the University of Tulsa and has built a career in the fields of communication and human resources for a leading independent oil company. She resides upon the beautiful plains of Oklahoma (most of the time) and in the fabulous Colorado Rockies (as often as she is able) with her husband Jake and their children.
In addition to being a super-mom and weaving creative narratives, Sara enjoys exploring other diversions such as American politics (ouch), French language studies, archaeological shipwreck diving, and British mystery novels.

Sara adores: fairy lights in her bedroom, family, F Street in Salida, Colorado, cozy movie nights, having pie on Thursdays, her innocent and pure crush on George W. Bush (don’t worry – her husband knows… everybody who knows her knows.)
